ENTERPRISE IT SERVICES
ENGAGEMENT: scope first, then plan

Remote Enterprise IT Infrastructure Support

Suitable when the business can provide authorised remote access, screenshots, logs and topology information. Remote support focuses on systems, configuration, access, backup, virtualization and network logic; hardware replacement, cabling and work that requires physical verification are scoped separately.

01

Common situations

1

Remote offices or customer sites lack second-line server and infrastructure support

This usually indicates that the environment lacks a consistent operating baseline. We first confirm ownership, dependencies and business impact.

2

Windows Server, AD, DNS, GPO or VMware issues can be diagnosed remotely

These issues often span several systems. Treating only the visible symptom can cause repeat incidents, so the dependency path is reviewed first.

3

VPN, firewall policy, file access or backup tasks require technical review

When support depends on ad-hoc fixes, recovery, handover and future expansion become harder to manage.

4

The business needs to determine whether an issue can be resolved remotely before arranging onsite work

For production systems, changes are planned around an approved window, validation steps and rollback conditions.

02

Scope

✓

Server and virtualization operations, migration and capacity planning

Included in the operating baseline with clear ownership, checks and escalation boundaries.

✓

Enterprise network, firewall, VPN and access boundaries

Work is adapted to the existing architecture and business dependencies rather than forcing a rebuild for its own sake.

✓

AD, accounts, file sharing, NAS and access governance

For business-critical systems, backup state, access paths and recovery options are verified before change work begins.

✓

Veeam, NAS and database backup with restore validation

Material changes are documented with implementation notes, validation results and rollback information where required.

✓

Health checks, implementation, acceptance documentation and ongoing operations

Cross-system work starts by confirming prerequisites, owners and the expected blast radius.

✓

Infrastructure support for manufacturing, trading, multi-site and growing businesses

The work can be delivered as a defined project or an ongoing support scope, depending on the requirement.

Deliverables

Deliverables

  • Service scope and onsite/remote boundaries
  • Critical system, network and data-protection records
  • Implementation, validation, acceptance and rollback records
  • Follow-up maintenance and risk recommendations

Service boundaries

  • Hardware procurement, software licensing and third-party subscriptions are confirmed separately for each project.
  • Production changes require an agreed window, backup state, validation plan and rollback conditions.
  • Onsite coverage depends on location, project complexity and implementation requirements.
  • Critical systems are not changed before access, dependencies and recovery conditions are understood.
04

Delivery approach

01

Current state

Confirm business services, systems, devices, owners and impact.

02

Dependencies and risk

Map network paths, identity, data protection and no-downtime constraints.

03

Scope and plan

Agree scope, sequence, maintenance window, validation and rollback conditions.

04

Implement and validate

Execute in stages and validate with real business workflows, not only connectivity checks.

05

Document and maintain

Update topology, configuration, access, backup or operating records and record follow-up actions.

FAQ

Q: Do you always need to be onsite first?

A: No. Initial assessment can usually start from diagrams, screenshots, device and system information. Onsite work is arranged when hardware, complex networking or production changes require it.

Q: Can this be delivered as a single project?

A: Yes. Server, network, access, backup and migration work can each be scoped as a standalone engagement.

Q: Will production systems be interrupted?

A: Production changes are planned around an agreed window, backups, validation and rollback conditions. We do not make unbounded changes in an unknown environment.

Q: Do you provide handover documentation?

A: Yes. Depending on scope, deliverables can include inventories, topology, configuration notes, implementation and acceptance records, and maintenance recommendations.
